> Your camera feed never leaves your device. What signLingo does and does not store, in full.

The short version: your camera feed never leaves your device, and you can use every lesson without an account. What follows is the long version, and it is short too.

## Your camera

Video from your camera is processed entirely inside your browser tab. Each frame is turned into the position of your hands, checked against the sign you are practising, and thrown away. No frame and nothing derived from one is uploaded to signLingo or to anyone else, and no part of the checking happens on a server. Turning the camera off stops it; closing the tab ends it.

## Display glasses (experimental)

The optional /glasses page is a 600×600 sign drill for Meta Ray-Ban Display web apps. It shows diagrams from signs you have already met — no camera runs on that page, no video or frames leave your device, and sign grading still happens on your phone.

## Your progress

Lesson progress, streaks, hearts and XP are stored in your browser using localStorage. If you never sign in, that data stays on your device and we cannot see it. If you choose to create an account, progress is synced so it follows you between devices — the progress only, never video and never anything derived from video. Accounts are handled by Clerk; deleting your account removes the synced copy.

## Analytics

signLingo loads privacy-preserving page analytics to see which pages get used, plus anonymous product events such as lesson completions and translate lookups — never camera data and never what you signed. No advertising trackers are loaded and nothing about you is sold or shared with data brokers.

## Children

signLingo is usable without an account and collects nothing from anonymous users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

## Questions

Email harshitkhemani@gmail.com and ask. If you want your synced progress deleted, say so and it will be.
